Its hard to imagine a time where acting wasn't associated with Hollywood 

with becoming a 'celebrity' and a 'brand'. a commodity. 

but here in the Circle

 we are trying to remember--

because for hundreds of thousands of years before Hollywood our ancestors were creating elaborate story telling rituals that were essential rites of passage for a persons soul & the health of the culture and community there was no audience, only participants and witnesses, who were to leave these rituals changed-- blasted open by witnessing  the telling of the truth.

Before Hollywood ; actors were vessels of spirit who would reveal mystical truths to their community

through the power of their body, their voice and their sense of the soul 

These rituals involved trance, channeling of the gods, using the elements and would somatically move the deep ineffable lessons that stories can contain 

through the bodies of the actors & extend into the fruiting body of every person who was there. 

Doesnt that sound fun??

We think so !!

Which is why we are opening the Circle, a workshop to bring back these ancient practices to connect deeply with our craft and renew our sense of what it means to be an actor in a time where our work is no longer considered sacred.
